Abraham DeMoss settled in Bellevue in 1795, with is descendants settling around DeMoss Road in the mid 1800's. Once all farm land, the family remained in the area into the early 1900's.
The DeMoss Family was a constant in Nashville with some members serving in the United States military. One, Harold DeMoss, served in WWII as a Naval pilot. He unfortunately did not make it home after his plane crashed in July of 1945. It wasn't until 2017, that his remains were finally returned home. Harold DeMoss was laid to rest in the family cemetery, which sits on land that was given to a DeMoss that served in the Revolutionary War.
Demoss Hills, located off of Demoss Road, celebrates Nashville's history and is proud to provide a community that is part of Nashville's future.
